D3: Acclimatization day; go to a location above Camp 3.

Day 1: Arrival Day
Transfer from Tehran to Damavand’s first campsite. Travel from your Tehran hotel, travel by automobile to Damavand Camp 1 Polour Resort (2200 meters). Get your Damavand climbing permit here. Just rest and take a nap there to acclimate; refrain from strenuous exertion or climbing, and avoid breathing in Tehran’s air pollution. Enjoy yourself tonight. Spend the night at Polour hut, local house or tent.
Day 2: Trekking Day
After breakfast, Transfer by 4W vehicle from C1 to Damavand Camp 2 Base 3050 m (also called Goosfand Sara). As well as a 4-6 hours hike to Camp 3 Bargah Sevom (4250m). There’s no rush. Overnight Camp 3 Bargah new hut, tent or shelter.
Day 3: Acclimatization Day
This day is for acclimatization; you are not here to set any speed records; instead, it is a preparation day for the Damavand summit. Today, you want to hike about to 4800 meters around Damavand Camp 3 Bargah Sevom. Save your energy for tomorrow and take plenty of relaxation after your hike instead of starting out too early or going higher and exhausting yourself. Get an early night! Spend the night at camp III new hut, shelter, or tent.
Day 4: Summit Day
Damavand climbing tour on the summit day. Trekking to the 5670-meter-high and to the peak of Iran. The summit push is underway. Have a substantial meal after rising early (4 am). Look at Damavand’s weather report before you start. At around five in the morning, when it is still dark, begin the ascent to the summit. Depending on your pace, level of fitness, and physical prowess, you could reach Damavand summit in 5 to 8 hours. Keep away from the sulfur escaping near the crater and retain your position at a more odour-free distance (it is irritating).
Congratulations! You’ve succeeded! No matter how many summits you’ve reached previously, this extremely prominent mountain will always stand out as a memorable climb. It is time to return; it will take about 3 hours to descend to the camp. You should take a few moments to recover but do not linger too long. Stay at camp III new hut, shelter, or tent and spend the night.
Day 5: Return to Tehran
After a well-earned respite, one night of relaxation, and a satisfying breakfast, it’s time to return to camp 1. There’s no need to rush, especially after yesterday’s significant attempt and early wake. For those whose knees hurt after descending, it could be a little challenging. Damavand mountain touring is over. Overnight in a hotel in Tehran.

What Are the Differences Between Damavand Hiking, Trekking, Backpacking, and Mountaineering?
Mountaineering, hiking, backpacking, and trekking all Damavand trips entail walking outside, although they vary in terms of their degree of difficulty, length of time, and equipment needs. Beginners may opt to start with a hiking or backpacking excursion in Damavand and progress to climbing and trekking tours in Damavand as they develop experience and expertise. We will lay down the primary distinctions in this article.
Damavand Hiking Tour
A leisurely stroll along a clearly indicated track or path, typically on flat ground, characterizes a hiking tour to Damavand. The majority of hiking paths are clearly marked and well-kept, and hikers may typically finish the trail in a day or a few hours. The average daypack that hikers use has some water, snacks, and additional clothing. A day excursion to Damavand, for instance, to see the Mount Damavand poppy field or a Damavand Camp.
Damavand Trekking Tour
A more difficult type of hiking, the Damavand Trekking tour requires walking for days or weeks on end over difficult terrain, frequently in isolated locations. Trails for trekking are typically less clearly marked than trails for hiking, and trekkers must take all of their supplies and food with them. When trekking, you might tent, stay in lodges or tea houses, and cross rivers and streams. Example: A multi-day trek to and from the summit of Damavand.
Damavand Backpacking Tour
Similar to the Damavand trekking tour, the backpacking tours usually require carrying a bigger weight for extended lengths of time, frequently for many days or weeks. Backpackers must be self-reliant and bring all of their supplies, including a tent, sleeping bag, stove, and food, with them. Camping in wild, isolated locations is a common aspect of backpacking. Example: A multi-day backpacking trip to Damavand Peak and Lar National Park.
6- Damavand Tours Significant Difference
Some significant distinctions between hiking, trekking, backpacking, and mountaineering include the following:
Difficulty: The four sports are ranked in difficulty from easiest to most physically taxing: hiking, backpacking, trekking tour, and mountaineering.
Trip length: While backpacking and trekking trips might take many days or weeks, hiking trips can last anything from a few hours to a few days. Expeditions in mountaineering might extend for many months or longer.
Equipment: Whereas backpackers, trekkers, and mountaineers need more specialist equipment like a backpack, sleeping bag, and cooking stove, hikers merely need the very minimum. Mountaineers require specialized tools like ice axes, crampons, and ropes in addition to protective gear like boots and jackets. Visit also our Damavand Forum.
Safety: While Damavand trekking tours, backpacking, and mountaineering include higher dangers, such as falls, avalanches, and altitude sickness, hiking is typically seen as risk-free. The four sports are all risky, but mountaineering is the most hazardous and calls for the most prudence.
