Mount Damavand Camp 3 – Bargah Sevom New Hut
Damavand Mountain 3rd Camp Bargah Sevom Lodge is located at 4,250 meters above sea level and it is quite close to the Camp 3 Old Shelter at 4,220 m. Damavand Camp 3 Bargah Sevom Hut was constructed on the south route for hiking trekking and ski touring to Mount Damavand. Iran Mount Climbing Federation built this mountain hostel, and this resort’s construction was completed in 2009. It is without a doubt a good camping site for acclimatization and lodging in the area for trekking Damavand tours because it is one of the highest mountain huts in Iran and the entire world.
Bargah Sevom Lodge is a cosy hostel or lodge with private and shared rooms (dorms) that include bunk beds, making it a highly safe shelter in an emergency or during inclement Damavand weather. It is only planned to be open during summer climbing season and not the entire year, so if you want to use this resort, it is advised that you receive the most recent information and make reservations in advance to take advantage of its incredibly comfortable private rooms. Therefore, before you arrive to the area, make a reservation and confirm that your room is available.

Booking Damavand Camps
Unfortunately, we currently do not have a definitive response about how to reserve Damavand camps for foreign mountaineers! Iran Mountaineering and Sport Climbing Federation has already stopped using the previous reservation system and plans to implement an online registration system. However, we are unsure of the timing and logistics for handling foreigners.
Especially for Camp 3 New Hut, booking private accommodation at Damavand campsite during the prime season might be extremely difficult. Right now, there isn’t a single person you should get in touch with to reserve a camp. Typically, Camp 1 Polour hotel reservations are made by Damavand tour operators by getting in touch with them directly. If you do not already have an Iranian tour operator, you can make a reservation at the Polour resort in person if there are any open dates.
Private Rooms
The typical method is for tour operators to handle reservations (and not by individuals). You can pay your tour operator a deposit in advance a few months before the expedition to ensure that your reservation will be honoured (if available). They operate on the principle of first come, first served during non-busy seasons! Mount Damavand.

Public Room (Dorm)
Both Camp 3 New Hut and Camp 1 Polour Resort’s public rooms (dorms) lack a reservation system. They just operate on a first-come, first-served basis all season long.

Damavand Camp 3 (Bargah Sevom) Hut Facilities
Advantages:
A good refuge suitable for emergencies and severe weather. It is well-located for lodging and acclimatization, with bunk beds available in both private and shared rooms (dorms). There are 4 private rooms with bunk beds and one large shared sleeping area with bunk beds. The hut is equipped with culinary and household utensils and has solar electricity power. Some food, drink, and drinking water options are available. Mobile networks are accessible in some locations, and there is access to running water during the summer. The management is reasonable during the off-season.
Cons:
It is best to reserve a spot in advance as the climbing season is busy. There are no phone lines or central heating, so it can get chilly, especially in the winter. There are no hot and cold water faucets, and the restroom is outdoors. Management can be poor during the busy season.
Essential Note about Bargah Sevom Lodge
There are no more campsites above this one, and it is the final campsite along Damavand’s south route. Keep in mind that there are no huts on the other paths up Mount Damavand; instead, you must use a tent or a shelter on the other slopes.
– Bunk beds are two beds that are stacked one on top of the other.

Old Shelter at Bargah Sevom in Damavand Camp 3
The oldest shelter of Mount Damavand was established on the south route and is called Damavand 3rd Camp Bargah-Sevom old refuge. In the summer season, it is too crowded, therefore it is not an ideal place for sleeping. For your comfort and privacy, it is strongly advised that you carry and use a private tent. Alternatively, if feasible, take advantage of the new hut, which has been offering services to climbers since 2009 and offers also private rooms that may be reserved. Although you might rent a tent here in the summer and possibly locate some food and water, it is best to bring your supplies. The new hut is quickly overtaking the old shelter/refuge at Bargah Sevom in popularity. Keep in mind that the final campground along the southern path of Mount Damavand is Bargah Sevom.

Tenting at Damavand C3 – Bargah Sevom
Camping in tents. Between the old shelter and the new hut at the Damavand Camp 3 Bargah Sevom, there are several flat areas ideal for tent camping. In addition to the tents, a few igloos have been built at C3, making them the ideal option for overnight stays during the busy climbing season. Customers who sign up for a Damavand Climbing Tour frequently inquire about whether they will spend the night at the third campsite in a tent, shelter, or hut. Nevertheless, the Bargah hut has both private rooms and a dorm. However, using tents or an igloo is the best alternative for lodging in the region during the height of climbing due to the Damavand crowd and high hut demand.
